Use the right amount of light. Do not overlight.
Turn the light off when not in use
direct lighting downward. If this is not possible, provide shielding to limit stray light
installing full cutoff lighting fixtures on permanent structures to limit glare, light trespass and sky glow
consider using low-pressure sodium lamps to minimize the color spectrum of the light that is emitted
